Dr. Maria Julieta Germar is a Professor  at the Division of Gynecologic Oncology, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of the Philippines College of Medicine, Philippine General Hospital. She took a Postgraduate Course in Research Epidemiology and Reproductive Health at the Department of Reproductive Health and Research, World Health Organization (Geneva, Switzerland). She also received a scholarship grant for Postgraduate Training on Cancer Screening, given by the American Cancer Society. She recently graduated with a Diploma in Health Professions Education from the National Teacher Training Center for the Health Professions (NTTCHP) She will continue to take  her Master in Health Professions Education at the University of the Philippines NTTC HP. She is the Immediate Past President of the Philippine Society for Cervical Pathology and  Colposcopy and the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists of the Philippines. She heads the Clinical Consensus Committee of the Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society. She is the Director of the University of the Philippines College of Medicine Clinical Simulation Center.
