The Secretary of Health (SOH)approved the final recommendation of the HTA Council on rotavirus vaccine (live, attenuated) monovalent G1P[8] strain porcine circovirus (PCV)-free for the prevention of gastroenteritis caused by rotavirus infection in children less than one (1) year of age  through Department of Health (DOH) Department Circular No. 2024- 0051-A, “Amendment to Department Circular No. 2024-0051 dated February 8,2024, with the subject “Inclusion of Rotavirus Vaccine (Live, Attenuated) 1.5 mL, Oral Suspension and 2.0 mL, Oral Suspension in the Philippine National Formulary (PNF)” published on 28 April 2026.  

As a final recommendation, the HTA Council positively recommends the government financing of rotavirus vaccine (live, attenuated) monovalent G1P[8] strain porcine circovirus (PCV) – free.
