The Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Council invites interested researchers to express interest and submit capsule proposals under the 2026 HTA Topics – Batch 2 Call [HTA General Track – Cycle 2 topics for Clinical, Economic and Ethical, Legal, Social, and Health Systems Impact (ELSHI) assessments; Pre-Cycle 1 topics for Economic and ELSHI Assessments]
The following are the health technology topics for assessments to be funded under this Call for Capsule Proposals:
HTA Topic for Full Assessment [Clinical, Economic (Cost Utility Analysis, Budget Impact Analysis, and Household Financial Impact Analysis (CUA, BIA + HFI Analysis)), and ELSHI]*
- Osimertinib as adjuvant treatment for early-stage Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR)-positive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) after tumor resection, as first-line treatment for locally advanced or metastatic EGFR-positive NSCLC (with subgroup analysis for brain metastasis), and as subsequent therapy for NSCLC patients who have progressed on first- and second-generation EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs)
HTA Topic for Economic Assessment
For Model-Based Cost-Minimization Analysis (CMA) + BIA + HFI Analysis
- Dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors (i.e., Sitagliptin and Vildagliptin) as add-on therapy to metformin compared with sulfonylureas or SGLT2 inhibitors, or metformin alone as primary analysis; and DPP-4 inhibitors (i.e., Sitagliptin and Vildagliptin) as add-on therapy to metformin compared with other DPP-4 inhibitors (i.e., Alogliptin and Saxagliptin) as secondary analysis for adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) inadequately controlled on metformin monotherapy
HTA Topic for Ethical, Legal, Social, and Health Systems Impact (ELSHI) Assessment
*For the full assessment of osimertinib, the proponent must submit a capsule proposal for each assessment method (i.e., clinical, economic, and ELSHI).
